Nike’s ‘Move to Zero’ initiative emphasizes long term sustainability through the use of recycling repurposing materials. As a theoretical, on-paper concept, it can be difficult to imagine how this initiative would play out in physical form, so a new footwear capsule shows off the functional versatility of the reusable ethos, by outfitting a selection of classic silhouettes with Move to Zero construction.
The Air Max 90, Cortez, Air Force 1 and the Daybreak Type feature canvas uppers, leather Swoosh branding and heel counters, and even foam and laces made from recycled materials. The Daybreak and Cortez take an extra step, with the incorporation of the innovative Crater foam seen on the Space Hippie.
